1. Who we are

Numology (numology.io) is a free numerology calculator service. When this policy says "we", "us", or "our", it refers to the operators of numology.io. Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@numology.io.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

Numology calculators ask for your birth date and name to perform numerology calculations. This information is processed entirely in your browser and is never sent to our servers. If you choose to save your profile for future visits, it is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key numology:profile. We do not have access to this data.

Information collected automatically

When you visit numology.io, we automatically collect:

  • Log data — your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited. This is collected by Cloudflare, our hosting provider, as part of standard server operation.
  • Analytics data — aggregated page view counts and session information via Cloudflare Web Analytics (privacy-focused, no cross-site tracking) and Google Analytics 4.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Numology uses the following cookies and similar storage technologies:

  • localStorage (first-party): Stores your numerology profile locally in your browser so you don't have to re-enter your birth date and name on return visits. This data never leaves your device.
  • Google Analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4 uses cookies (including _ga, _ga_*) to distinguish users and sessions. Google may use this data in accordance with its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Google AdSense cookies (future): We intend to display advertising through Google AdSense. When active, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out at adssettings.google.com.
  • Cloudflare: Cloudflare may set a security cookie (__cf_bm) for bot detection. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and improve the numology.io website and calculators
  • Understand how visitors use the site (analytics)
  • Display relevant advertising (when AdSense is active)
  • Maintain the security and performance of the site

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your birth date or name for any purpose other than performing the numerology calculation you requested.

6. Data retention

Profile data stored in localStorage remains on your device until you clear your browser storage or remove it manually. We do not retain this data on our servers.

Analytics data is retained by Google for up to 14 months (GA4 default). Cloudflare log data is retained per Cloudflare's standard policy (typically 24 hours to 7 days depending on plan).

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • GDPR (EU/EEA residents): Right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing.
  • CCPA (California residents): Right to know what personal information is collected, right to delete, and right to opt out of the "sale" of personal information (we do not sell personal information).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@numology.io. To remove locally stored profile data, clear your browser's localStorage for numology.io.

8. Children's privacy

Numology is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
